Hi, I'm Lisa, founder of 2nd Chance Candles.
We specialize in hand poured scented soy wax candles. All of our products are hand made in our Astoria Queens candle studio. We use only all natural 100% soy wax, clean fragrances that are free from toxins & carcinogens, and beautiful reusable glass jars. We are sincerely committed to providing a quality product. Besides selling our already made candles, we also love hosting workshops and parties. Every participant will get to learn how to make a candle. It is a fun and hands on process. It starts with choosing your style of jar, picking and or mixing fragrances, measuring and pouring your wax, and designing your label. Lastly everyone has the opportunity to embellish their candles with real gemstones! After the 2 hour session, you get to take home your custom made candle!
Often times we are asked about our name, 2nd Chance Candles. As a recovering addict, I have a belief in second chances. Our pasts do not define our future. It is my honor to help inspire others with my story. Every fiscal quarter we provide free candle workshops to those beginning their recovery process or anyone else who needs a second chance and helping hand. It is my aspiration to bring others hope, inspiration, and new skills.
Creating my own business has brought me a new sense of joy and self worth and it is important to teach others they too can do it and be their own successful entrepreneur.
